SWINE – Resistance is inevitable

It’s been a while I know. I’ve been busy with yet another new job, planning my wedding and honeymoon. But I’m back, and whilst idly flicking through Vegan Life Magazine, I saw that Viva! have finally completed their short movie on factory pig farming, SWINEContinue reading

Blueberry and Chia Seed Jam

Green Vegans

My breakfast normally consists of marmite on toast on a weekday. Pretty boring, isn’t it? I do like jam but it’s always so overly sweet that it gives me mouth ulcers. After acquiring a large amount of chia seeds and some heavily reduced blueberries, I thought I’d attempt my own jam.   Continue reading

Channel Five should have intervened to prevent animal cruelty

It’s not often I post things out of anger but I am completely incensed by what I have recently witnessed.

Skincere Night Cream

I’ve been reading a lot lately about how using products with gluten, dairy, preservatives, and other nasties is just as harmful to your body as ingesting them. Big Garden Birdwatch

Apologies for the lack of posting this week, I’ve been completely distracted with BBC’s Winterwatch. How fantastic has it been? The otters were far too cute and my cat, Sinbad, has been completely besotted with the mice mazes. I don’t know about you, but I found it quite shocking to discover that we don’t know the number of mountain hares we have in existence, but we are quite happy to cull them. Such a destructive species, that we are. However, let’s join forces and do some good; it’s RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend. Continue reading

Love our planet this Valentine’s Day

2016 is most definitely the year for love. Well, for me anyway as come August, I will have a husband and become a wife! (I have requested my spouse wear a faux fur sporran on the big day). Valentine’s Day is also fast approaching us and WWF alerted me to the Climate Coalition‘s For The Love Of… campaign.  Continue reading
